My experience is not what you call conventional but I would like to share it anyway. I found the Inmate Dating Service where I could meet inmate singles easily and my idea at first was just to make friends and try to make someone’s day with my letters. This website has the best inmate personal ads and advanced inmate matchmaking service. If you're looking for an inmate singles hookup and a way to meet inmates then you should commence your search through this online platform. I am still a member and my experience with this dating platform is more than good.
My understanding is that inmates are deprived of freedom, self-worth and dignity- they have a lot of time and their days are dragging slowly. I thought that I could start a correspondence with someone and in that manner keep his/hers spirits up. I started to write letters to several friends that I have met via inmate personals and for some time we have been writing back and forth. I learned a lot about them and I’ve also realized that we are all the same. These people are serving their time for their errors- and they are usually aware of the mistakes that they've made in the past. From my correspondence I was able to learn that all these people had different conditions in life- some of them were in the system since early age and grew up without a family, some of them had a really terrible childhood- some of them were innocent and some of them just ended up on the wrong path.
I was trying to be open-minded and to listen to their stories without judgment. Who am I to judge anyway- that’s how I met Charles- he was in for some petty crime and we were writing each other letters regularly. He had a few months left to get out. He was a very sensitive man, who ended up inside and started to think about his sins. He was telling me about his life before jail and the time inside. He was explaining just how much he had changed and that the time in jail helped him to realize what life is all about. He had taken his time to read and to learn things- he finally got out and we met in person- we’ve been together ever since. I honestly learned a lot through my experience- and I think that person –inmate or not needs support. I think that in tough moments like these when you find yourself depraved of all rights a letter can mean a world of difference. This is my story and personal experience- I was open-minded enough to get a different perception in life!
